Saint Paul Cozy
Help bring color and cheer to Saint Paul this winter by making a cozy for one of the 158 lampposts along twelve blocks of 4th St.
Saint Paul Cozy, a project led by Rage to Order Artist Initiative of Lowertown and the Saint Paul Saints Art Program, is looking for Minnesota makers to knit, crochet, quilt, and weave handmade cozies. Cozies need to be done by January 17, 2018 and the installation will be up January 25th - March 4th. Each cozy will have a "Made By" label on it and will be inspected throughout the installation. They will also be pictured on the Saint Paul Cozy website.
Signing up is easy through their website. You'll be assigned a post and given its dimensions. There are a few rules to what can't be on your post, but other than that you can let you imagination run wild. I'm busily planning what will be on my post between Sibley and Jackson.
There are Meet and Makes on Wednesdays and Saturdays through January 17th for makers who want to get together and work on their cozies. Saint Paul Cozy will have tools and supplies available and also welcome the donation of more.
So, why not grab some needles and a couple friends to help Saint Paul get cozy!
