A Good Deed in Eagan
We have received a request for help in the Knitters' Guild email box. Because of the unusual nature of the request, we're posting it on the blog. Here it is.
"My Mom loves to knit but she is in the memory care unit in the Commons on Marice in Eagan.
I am in NYC and can't knit with her.
Do you know anyone who would be willing to knit with her for one hour a week? I would pay them.
Thank you for the help.
Best regards,
Anne"
If you are interested in helping, contact the Web Infomaster via email for further information.

MKG Service Project Needs Winter Knits
The Minnesota Knitters' Guild kicked off 2010 with a year-long Guild service project to knit hats, scarves and mittens. We are now over halfway through the year and have received some wonderful items. However, we still need more! Please think about knitting some items and donating them before the end of the year.
Knit-Out!
The Minnesota Knitters Guild will be hosting the Seventh Annual Twin Cities Knit-Out on Sunday, October 10th, at Southdale Center.
The celebration of knitting will take place from 1 to 3 p.m. in Macy’s Court. There will be free knitting lessons, door prizes, fashion shows, community service knitting projects, expert knitters to answer questions, and local yarn shops displaying the latest in yarns, patterns and tools.
Minnesota Knitters’ Guild at the State Fair
After weeks of anticipation, the Minnesota Knitters' Guild showed up in force once again for the first day of the Minnesota State Fair. Set-up went quickly and we were on our way answering questions, instructing, and demonstrating simple knitting stitches.
