Come hear her talk about this collection of fun, hip knitting patterns. They include everything from classic embroidered mittens to an alluring mohair sweater. Cornell's book is a great addition to any knitting library.

Share Your Shawl - A Member Show and Share Event. Summer is the perfect time to bring out the breathtaking shawls that many of our members have crafted over the years. Lace knitting represents the "holey" grail for many knitters—sorry, couldn't resist the bad pun! Come and be awestruck and inspired by the talent that exists in our membership! Bring your completed lace shawl(s) and be prepared to describe the pattern and yarn used, as well as any tips learned along the way. All members who ‘share a shawl’ that evening will be eligible for a special lace-inspired prize drawing.

This popular author, based in Excelsior, Minn., specializes in working needlecraft into her tales of murder and mayhem. Her latest is "Knitting Bones," published by Berkley last year; "Thai Die" is due out in December. We know she is a fun read and a great speaker.
