Knitting Needles and Airport Security
MKG Website Exclusive - knitters.org
Ever since September 11, 2001, all knitters have been concerned about carrying their needles and accessories (scissors, etc.) on board commercial aircraft. We've all heard the horror stories of crafters having their needles and tools confiscated by airport security. Many of us have opted to carry self-addressed stamped envelopes (SASE) to send our needles home if they aren't allowed through the security checkpoint.

Beginning January 1, 2004, the Minnesota Knitters' Guild annual dues will increase by $5 to $30.

Textile Center Capital Campaign
MKG Cable Gram - Volume 19, Number 1
The Textile Center of Minnesota has completed its capital campaign! The building is theirs - ours! So many people contributed to this one-of-a-kind effort... there is no other center like this in the entire country.
Special thanks go to all of the Knitters' Guild members who gave time and money to this campaign. Our contributions, our pledges and our volunteer efforts all amounted to the Textile Center's being able to raise two million dollars!
Welcome to Winter!

As I write this in early December, this President is feeling little discombobulated this holiday season! Does this sound familiar to any of you? As I madly knit on projects for gifts, I'm trying to focus on my blessings and positive thoughts. I am blessed with many good friends, and I count all you knitters among them. I wish I could knit more hours than are available, and even in my sleep.
Get the most out of your love of knitting! Membership benefits include pre-registration for Yarnover, a subscription to our quarterly Cable Gram, organized public service projects and camaraderie with fellow knitters. Annual dues are $30.
