Are you looking for a new charitable project? Something small and fun, yet meaningful? This fall, the MKG Service Committee is collecting individual hats, mittens, and scarves—or three-piece sets—for children staying at the Ronald McDonald House of the Twin Cities. We also accept adult-size items for these children's families.
Knitters can choose to knit one, two, or all three pieces to complete a set. Completed items (machine-washable, please) will be collected at the November 2008 MKG meeting.
For more information, contact Connie Iversen at .
Feel free to use your own favorite hat, mitten, and scarf patterns. If you are looking for something new, however, here are some links to patterns we have found work well. (We also gave out copies of some of these patterns at our September meeting.) Most of these patterns are free, but you may find some that require you to order the pattern. If you find any links that don't work, please let the infomaster know (be specific, please!).
Happy knitting, and see you and your creations in November!
