MKG Cable Gram - Volume 17, Number 2
When we join an organization, we should certainly expect some special privileges - and some responsibilities to each other as well. This newsletter is one of the great benefits of membership in the Minnesota Knitters' Guild. Everyone-all 325 members throughout the state and abroad-gets the newsletter.
Our monthly meetings are even better. They are the flesh-and-blood fellowship of kindred spirits, the way we connect, the inspiration of being in a room with so many people who love the art of knitting. But here we run into a snag - those meetings are not very accessible to folks who have to drive for hours and then find a place to stay while they are in the Cities.
So check out this page for some ideas that might begin to open things up a bit - ways to get more knitters connected throughout the state, and ways to make it easier for outstate members to come to town for a visit. Oh yeah-and ways for us city folk to keep having a good time knitting. Let us know what you think!
