MKG-Special Event Celebrate the Harvest and Fiber Arts Fair View Details
Gale Woods Farm - Celebrate the Harvest
Tour the gardens and orchard, tasting the bounty the farm has produced. Shop for locally produced products/gifts at the Fiber Arts Fair showcasing fiber artists, local food vendors and concessions. Watch the amazing skill of border collies and their trainers at the Star of the North Stock Dog Trials. See our fall sheep shearing, enjoy a wagon ride, tour the barn to meet the farm animals, and play farm games.
We will staff a Minnesota Knitters' Guild knitting table two days at the Festival. Sign ups will be available at the regular Guild meetings.

MKG-Special Event Cambridge Fiber Fair View Details
The Cambridge Fiber Fair and Alpaca Pen Sale was conceived to promote the sale of domestically raised and processed fiber and fleece.
In addition to fleece and fiber of varied types, the fair will host an alpaca pen sale--a great opportunity to see, touch and, perhaps purchase, a fantastic fiber-bearing animal to compliment your current herd, or to begin the process! We look forward to seeing you at the Isanti County Fair Grounds in Cambridge, Minnesota on October 13th!
MKG-Meeting October Guild Meeting View Details
We are excited to be able to host Lucy Neatby as the keynote speaker at our monthly meeting at 7:00pm at the Textile Center of Minnesota. Lucy Neatby is an internationally recognized teacher, designer and writer thrills knitters around the world with her inimitable charm, knowledge, and uniquely colorful designs. Her passion for nurturing and empowering knitters, and putting them in control of their art, is legendary! She is the author of “Cool Socks Warm Feet” and the “Learn with Lucy” DVD series. All are welcome to attend the meeting free of charge.
The presentation topic will be The Delights of Double Layer Knitting
An exploration into the fascinations and frustrations of double-layer knitting. It's so much more than just an experimental potholder! Double-layer knitting is currently reaching new heights of popularity, however, the diverse possibilities of this form of knitting are often not fully appreciated. We'll take a look at both fun and functional applications of this method.
