Make your stitches count! This month's meeting will highlight knitters and charitable donations. We'll have a representative from Sarah's - An Oasis for Women. This group has an active group teaching knitting and is currently soliciting knitting supplies such as yarn, needles and books. Representatives from the Guild's own Service Committee will be on hand to talk about our current collection efforts and why knitters can help. Bring along your latest knitted toys or clothing items for Afghans for Afghans. For more information, visit the Service Committee's blog, http://mnknittersguild.wordpress.com.
MN based designer and teacher Bernadette St. Amant, a representative of Hand Painted Knitting Yarns, a yarn company known for their Scarf-in-a-Scarf knitting kits and textured Huge Skeins, will be speaking about her experiences designing with and using the multicolored yarns from Hand Painted Knitting Yarn.
She'll have garments to display and HPKY yarns as well as patterns featuring HPKY yarns will be for sale following the meeting. Be prepared for a splash of color!
Get the most out of your love of knitting! Membership benefits include pre-registration for Yarnover, a subscription to our quarterly Cable Gram, organized public service projects and camaraderie with fellow knitters. Annual dues are $30.
